FMW: Started by veteran Japanese superstar Atsushi Onita in 1988, Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling revolutionized pro wrestling's idea of "hardcore" with it's total garbage style. Barbed wire, blood, and sometimes fire are standard in most matches; truly one of the most creative feds in terms of gimmick matches; second only to perhaps BJPW in terms of juice factor; also features high-flyers like the amazing Hayabusa. Sadly, FMW's promotional status is defunct, as far as I have been able to determine. . .
